I went to one of my local auto parts stores yesterday to get a positive battery cable. They brought me a black cable. I told them no I need a positive cable. The manager told me they didnt sell red cables there were too many lengths to keep them all in both colors so they provide stickers to identify them. If they cut corners on battery cables it makes me wonder what else there cutting corners on.
Same here- napa only offered black cables. Taped the heck outta the "+" cable all the way to the solenoid.
Jumped off two people in the last week and they hollered bout me placin' red clamps on the black cables.
Started both...

FWIW: They are plain wrong about the cables because a proper (+) top post cable has a larger terminal then a negative cable. If you use a compromise or one of the wrong size you end up overtightening it.
