Does it SAY lightning or do you see a lightning bolt on the hood ornament? There are no "lightning" models.

Believe you will find the emblem indicates truck originally came with 6 cylinder engine. There would be an 8 set inside the V to indicate 8 cylinder.

Maybe it just spoke Lightning to him.

That emeblem pictured would have been the hood ornament on a '63 with a V8 or a six.
the 'V' emblem didn't come out until '65, with the FE V8's

I think a 93 or 95 lightning 351 efi conversion would be very cool for our trucks! Pretty hard running gear to get a hold of now though!

Ringo's right. 61-64 8 cyl's and 61-66 6 cyl's used the same emblem- 5 stars with gear and lightning, 8 inches wide. Part number C1TZ 16607-B
65-66 V8's - 5 stars w/ "V8" , 8 inches wide. Part number C5TZ 16607-A

Learn something new about these trucks everyday. Sorry about misinfo. If recall my 65 w/ 300ci had the lightning and gear. Wonder if the lightning and gear covered 61-66.
