pcv valve removal

i am wondering how to remove the pcv tube that is coming off of the passenger side valve cover. im gonna run a breather instead of worrying about emmisions crap. is there replacement breathers i can find and use?

The pcv is the one thing you need, without it the engine will spring oil leaks every where.

I second the notion...keep the PCV. It cycles through blow-by in the crankcase, and without the system your oil will turn to junk.

Rather than remove it consider restricting the incomming air. This will reduce the "metered air leak" effect and add a little vacuum to the crankcase which will improve idle quality and oil leak control.

i dont want a tube running into my air cleaner anymore. its not the one that goes into the face of the carb, it the one that (obviously) runs into the air cleaner. i heard it is to recirculate crankcase air through the combustion to reduce emmisions. up here in the neck of the woods i could care less about emmisions, i want power and looks. so anyway, is there a way to replace it?

the one going from the valve cover to the air cleaner, usually on the passenger side valve cover is just a breather. You can replace it with a breather (filtered) that just plugs into the hole.
