Thumbs up Annoying Litle Nibble Gone: I hope

I had the nibbles at 60 plus. Not real bad but annoying, and reading the posts here had me worried. I bought a demo and noticed it soon after. Anyway, I took it to Discount Tire and had them rotate and spin balance it. The guy said it was uot of balance. Sure enough, smooth as glass now. Not that this will help those with major problems, but I thought I'd pas it along so that some can try before taking to the dealer and going throuogh all the TSBs.

Right, I'm within the warranty period and familiar with the TSb that includes some road force balancing. I just did not want to have to drop the thing at the dealer.

Just what is road-force balancing? I have heard it mentioned on this site, but have no idea what it intails.

Road Force Balance - I'm A Believer Now

After living with a small imbalance for 10K, and having wheels "spin balanced" two times, I got tired of the irritation and took it to my authorized Ford Dealer (Future Ford - Roseville, CA). BAM! Three hours later the vibration was pinpointed to two tires that were out of tolerance. They put two new Conti's on and its fine now. I can't believe I waited this long and that Sears, Les Schwab and others didn't even know what a Road Force Balance was. Save yourself some time and trouble and get it done. The sooner, the better.

Have they fixed the balancers though? Last I knew they couldn't reliably balance a tire above 50mph... With elevated speed limits in some areas there can be a significant difference in tire performance between 50 and 70mph.
