I read on Blue Oval News that Ford has decided to kill off the supposed "Hemi Killer" for financial reasons. I guess I'm not surprised, especially since they've killed off the Ford Lightening for now.
I hate to see Ford do anything like that but the way I see it....with fuel prices poised to go even higher...maybe Ford is planning ahead. I'm all for having plenty of power but I also want great fuel economy. Even with my truck....and gas at a 1.93 for regular......it puts a strain on my wallet. Who knows...one day all these so called "fast" trucks will be of no use to anyone in the future....the other makes included.
i think that the fast truck war between ford dodge and chevy are gonna go so far and get so out of hand, so to speak, that we'll all have trucks that can't be used as trucks in any aspect anymore. i love the lightning though. wish i had one.
A good driver can drive 500hp no problem as a daily driver. 500 will come loose on corners if your not careful. It gets hairy around 6 or 700 though, you can bust loose on dry pavement at highway speeds. Anything 800 or above is suicide. Even the wary can loose control.

I drove my uncle's 750 HP twin turbo Lingenfelter Vette, I didn't have any trouble driving it. Having that much power on tap just makes it easier to swing the rear end around in corners.
