Carpet

I sure am glad I found this Northern Chapter.I am looking forward to meeting others with the same style truck and sharing ideas and etc. etc.
My truck is the custom model and has a 4 speed tranny.I would like to put carpet in. I think it is going to be a problem with the high hump of the 4 speed. If anyone has done this I sure could use you advice on how you make it lay flat at the bouttom of that hump.Looks like this is going to be a problem area.

There are some carpet kits available that account for the hump. I will be watching this thread to see if there is a cheaper way as..., well..., I'm cheap. Mine needs new carpet too.
What year and model truck do you have?

have you checked out Jeff's or JC Whitney? How tall is the hump? from floorpan to top of hump?

I found a carpet place that looks good to me. They have a molded carpet for these trucks.I think they are one of the sponsers of FTE I can't give a web link, But I think I can on a PM.
I measured the hump in this truck 77 F250 custom model. I put a level not to the shifter then musured to the floor and I got 7 1/2" I guess that would be an 8.
