I wouldn't even attempt to repair one, but you may be an electrican. Joe Servo modifies the IDM to increase the voltage signal sent to the injectors. Instead of the stock 110 volts it will send around 140.

It lets the solenoid open the injector a little faster so you can squeeze a bit more fuel in without altering the duration of the injection cycle. Makes maybe 20-30 HP on the top end, and is almost mandatory for aftermarket injectors. It won't make any real difference under less than full throttle acceleration.
