1972 F100 Wiring Diagram

OK now, I just shelled out $50 for a complete set of original shop manuals for my 72. I went page by page through volume III looking for wiring diagrams. None. Not a single wiring diagram. Did Ford not think it was necessary to put the color-coded diagrams in these manuals? I can't find a wiring diagram anywhere for my vehicle. Can anyone help?

I could have told you there wasn't any wiring diagrams in the shop manual.

They have wiring diagrams in our CDRom shop manuals at www.motorhaven.com
Don't know if that year is available though.
If not,
It looks like you need to go to www.helminc.com to get the special wiring diagrams.

Is there a specific thing in wiring you are looking for ?

On eBay right now... they're on there all the time. I got mine from the same seller... laminated, color coded with grommets in the corners to hang while working.

And no, I'm not the seller.

just a little tip on the conversion: the wiring out of my '69 nearly bolted up to my '75 column. two of the screws lined up perfectly but the third was way off. i ended up using the '75's hold down plate so i could put in all 3 screws. good luck

Thanks for helping GolferSA. There are 3 links on your prior post. The First is to Motorhaven to purchase the CD-ROM (don't want that), the second is to an Ebay page to open an Ebay store (no desire) and the 3rd is to classiccarwiring.com. What am I not seeing?

GolferSA, I found some wiring manuals on Ebay but they're for 67, 68, and 69 F100s. I have a 72. Are they the same? There is a half dozen of these and I'd gladly take one if they're the same for the 72.

You can use the outside shaft of the old column, and insert all components of the newer one. I did this with a 75 4wd column in my 702wd. Most parts will interchange. I also have a Mitchell manual with all wiring diagrams from 1960-1976, and could look it up for you.
