3" body lift, will it be enough for 31" tires?

I have an 88 bronco ii xlt and bought 31" tires on 10.5 rims and need to know if a 3" body lift would be enough to put these tires on without having a rub problem? also i was wandering if anyone has put a body lift on there bronco ii and if it is possible to do myself instead of paying someone so much money for them to do it and if anyone could help me out with know what all the parts on the lift go to

a 3" body lift should get you covered, as long as you dont do any flying through the air stunts while offroading, personally i would go with say a 6" lift suspension, or double 3" with a 3" body, and 3" suspension, i have 265 75 15's on mine which measure out to 30.5" x 10.5 wide, w/ 15" rim, and i don't have a lift at all (soon to get one), but i dont rub at when turning hard, and i've never had tire hit any body parts, so the 3" body should do you good, if you want to know what it looks like w/ no lift you can look at my gallery, and i have a few pics on there.

forgot to add.. you can do a body lift yourself, broncoii.org has some directions for a body lift, you can also look at the 4x4 and offroad forum on here and do a search, you should be able to come up with other resources also, i think for a body lift they're mostly nut and bolt, nothing special but i do recomend getting polyurethane to replace all the stock rubber bushings, makes ride a lot better.
