Bronco with 1" or 2" body lift

I just bought a Bronco with a 6" suspension lift and a 3" body lift. The tires are 38.5 Monster Mudders. I am installing a 2" leveling kit in the front. I hate the gap from the body lift so I would like to cut it down a bit. I am either going to cut the blocks to 2" or I am going to just use a hockey puck for a 1" lift. Does anybody have pics of their Broncos with 1" or 2" body lifts so I can see what the gaps look like?

You can fill the gaps with rubber sheet or sheet metal. You could take the lift out completly and use cutout fender flares and still clear the tires. If you want to see how it looks, check out my gallery.

ditch the 6" lift and 3" body lift and just go with an 8" suspension lift.. You'll clear your 38's...

I'll actually be selling my 8" suspension lift in a couple months..

Though I'm more then likely going to sell the lift/wheels/tires as a combo package.. *shrug* we'll see.

what kind of use do you plan for this rig? if its a mall crawler just remove the body lift and cut the fenders. if you plan to offroad this rig i would start collecting for a SAS and be done with it. that size tire is overloading the TTB as it is.

Im not a fan of the 8" kits mainly because they use drop brackets instead of extended radius arms. the drop brackets put tremendous stress on the frame and are prone to getting hung up while wheeling.

I am not sure yet exactly what I am doing with the Bronco. I'd love to have it as a driver but I already have 2 trucks insured. I am going to do some offroading with it but not too sure how much cause I have my Bronco II for the trails. I think I will remove the body lift completely and drop my coil buckets 2" for 8" total lift. If I drive it on the highway regularly I am going to replace the half worn 38s with 35x14.50 Baja HPs.

droping the coil buckets wont work unless you get the proper TTB 8" center drop brackets and such. otherwise the truck will not be able to get aligned.

Wouldn't it be just the same as installing a 2" leveling kit? I've had them in TTBs and just had an alignment done after.

I have drop brackets with extended radius arms on my 8" skyjacket kit.

the drop brackets that mount to the engine bay crossmember are different then what you have with a 6" suspension lift. also the radius arms drop brackets for the 8" kit are different then what a standard 6" radius arm drop bracket would use. ive heard of people making a slight drop bracket so they could run extended radius arms and would be the better setup. but with out the proper brackets that mount to the cross member getting the tires aligned would be next to impossible. the tires would like this \ /
