I replaced my left front wheel hub this afternoon. Half way through I started the car to turn the wheel in the other direction to make getting to the bolts easier. I did this before plugging in the new ABS sensor cable that comes with the new hub. I finished the work, everything is put back as it should, and the cable is in place. However, now I can't get the ABS light to go out, I even reconnected the old one just to see if maybe the new was bad, no luck. Does anyone have any ideas??????

you masheded one of the pins in the harness plug. pull it off and look at tthe end. When you turn the truck on, the computer runs a continueity test to see if its plugged in. If light comes on immediately, the plug is not making contack.

I checked that, the plug on the hub side is the male, both pins are fine. I even tried reconnecting the old one. If I loop the pins together on the car side for a test, will the light go out?

Update
After driving about a quarter mile, the light went out on it's own.
