What is an 'I' block?

My uncle was telling me he had a 58 I block 6. I never heard of this. He was going to give it to me but I don't know anything about it. Any help? Thanks..

Inoterwords a straight 6 cylinder. Ha probably wotrf it as a m I six , sp it would be known as not the V 6
