Marine or Boat Engine

I see these listed for sale all the time. Are the 312 or 292 marine engines compatable with our parts? Are they mountable on our trucks with the correct bellhousing and transmission? Ed

the block would be the same.if you wanted to change some parts you could put one in.

Are they better and is there any way to tell what heads and block are the same? I mean for instance I here PI so many times but what does that mean on a 292 boat engine? Ed
