Folding Mirror for 94 F150?

My 94 150 has the plastic "car style" door mirrors left and right.

A friend's Jeep Grand Cherokee allows you to reach out and fold the mirrors flat up against the body to reduce overall width when clearance is tight.

Does anyone make such a thing for the F150? If I put on the all-steel "truck style" mirrors, can they be folded flat to the door?

One of my mirrors is cracked anyway, and I'm planning a little off-road excursion for July.

Yes they fold. I have an extra set in the classifieds if you don't need them to be perfect. Same style as pictured on my truck to your left.

The plastic ones fold in too. I have the big swing arm style like you are looking for and I like them a little better than the plastic ones on my dad's truck. Both styles will fold flat against the truck.

OK, thanks. I'll try harder to fold the plastic ones. If it breaks, Kragen's online store's got replacements for only about 40 bucks.

Call me weird, but I like the plastic ones better than the steel frames; and the visibility while towing my boat with them is just fine.

Also, do the metal mirror heads tilt or turn in any direction. I've got a 90 F-250, and can hardly see anything out of the mirrors due to bad positioning. Should I buy new mirror heads (or new mirrors altogether), or should I just push/pull harder because they're rusty??

Yes they adjust all over or should. When they have been in the same position for years they tend to rust a bit. CRC 556 lubricant works good. I would take the complete mirror off the truck and turn it upside down and give it a good shot. It should loosen up after a soakin.

all your factory mirrors should fold in, just pull harder. don't be shy. I fold mine in on my 95 F350 when offroading all the time. they are the power mirrors on the XLT model.

Yep I went out last night, applied sufficient brute force, and the driver's mirror folded right in. Once I flipped it a couple times it wasn't stuck anymore and worked more freely.

Thaks again!
