Winddancer, I am glad that there are so many of these trucks still on the road. Personally I think they out perform the chevy blazer that is "comparabe" cough to it and can even give the Jeeps a run for their money. As I said it you are doing interior or exterior mods then check out LMCtruck.com and get a catalog, it might help you. I also have the blue interior in my '89 gen II BII if you find a good place for carpeting please let me know, actually I'd rather have the rubber flooring used in the police package explorers if anyone has any information on that I'd be glad to hear it. Thanks again. *Joe*

Winddancer, I've also pretty much gutted, cleaned, painted and/or replaced most of the interior of my 85 BII, but I'm still stuck with the crappy "low back" bucket seats. I threw on a cheap set of set covers, but I'm looking for a nice set of replacements that aren't going to cost more than an engine swap. I've been through a few junk yards looking for something that will work, but most of those seats are in worse shape than the one's I've got. Any suggestions?

likenewbronco2-
I am going to use the seats out of a arostar van. They say they will mount up to your tracks and bolt right in. First I will have them recovered. The junk yards here are full of arostars. And the seat is much more comfortable.
Bigjoe-
I found a bunch of places on the net to get the carpet or the vinyl floors. I need to check again as I lost some of my favorites when I switched to a new type of browser.
The blue interior realy sucked since the truck was used as a mechanics truck for a bus company before I got it.

Thumbs up

I have an 86 BII that had the notorious broken driver side seat back. I swapped in a set of 60/40 high back seats from an 86 Ranger. They feel much stronger and I have a nice place to lay a map when I have a passenger along. The floor bolt pattern is an exact match and the seats bolt right in. And I forgot to mention the drivers seat has a fold down right armrest.

This thread is 9 years old.

Are you planning to fix your rust problem? If so there's a more current thread on this topic going on in the Ranger area that you're welcome to piggyback.

interior wet

Most of the time its that the windsheild cracked, or firewall has rust hole.
Sometimes the A/C pan drain gets clogged up and then drips onto your carpet. This goes un-noticed until the carpet smells like mold/mildew,even
rots out the floor pan.
