Fuel Additives?

I read on another site about someone putting automatic transmission fluid (about 8oz./tank) in their fuel system.
Has anyone heard or done this? and what were the results???

Fuel Additives?

It's a bad idea. People use it as a cleaner because it's high detergent. I read somewhere that it really is'nt very high detergent and I can't remember why but you should just use an actual fuel additive if you are going to use anything. I used atf in my big rig years ago and nothing happened. I also don't know that it did any good.
For a powerstroke I wouldn't use anything unless I was having a problem. The owners manual says not to I think because of all the sensers and stuff.

In my haste, I might have missed the published lab results of some proper testing done in an accredited facility using known testing methods. can you point it out to me? I like to separate the snake oil from the something that performs as advertised.

WOW really old thread.... I to use PS-DK silver jug. I also add a small amount of 2 cycle engine oil to the DK bottle so I am technically running both in one jug.

Test results

I too have used Stanadyne for years, but I'm looking at ordering some Opti-lube here soon after reading these test results. Again old thread, lots of talk already on the forum.
