1960 Cowl vent color on a two tone?

My truck's cowl vent was painted turquoise when I got it, but after looking at a bunch of literature, I want to make sure of its correct color to be white? Going to painter tomorrow and need to know. I'm 95% sure its suppose to be white. Any confirmation would be great! -4speed

Is your truck a two-tone combo from the factory? Thanks, -4speed

Yes, it is. Custom cab w/ two-tone (blue & white) purchased new by my dad, onwed by my uncle for a while, then back to me. I repainted it in the early 80's exactly as it was (except for the rust!). The cowl vent has been white ever since it was new. I've never lost sight of this truck since it was purchased new from the local Ford dealer.

I'll see if I can get some pictures together. It's past time to take it out of the garage and clean it up anyway.

I'm in the process of the whole truck, The entire front sheetmetal(inside/out) is done. I'll e-mail you in a bit.

Manglass, no hurry just thought that would be a heck of a truck to see! -4speed

4speed, mine is white looks to have been white all its life

I found a gel that you add paint to for a nice rock protector..I am going to use it on my fender wells and bed, looks like orange peel drywall texture when sprayed on...and in the color you add.
