Sorry if this has been addressed. I searched but didn't find anything.

A better place to ask would be in the 2004 truck forum.
This one is for pricing & dealing for a new truck, car.

Super easy! Crawl under your truck, carefully unplug the three (3) stoppers on the rubber shield (you'll know what I mean when you see it). Then, with a very long flathead screwdriver (or something similiar), carefully push the tabs out. You can feel them with your fingers first to get an idea of how they work. There are only two tabs. A flashlight will help as it's dark under there. I got mine off in no time.

If you don't plan on re-using it, just yank it off!

As it turns out, my plastic bracket was held on by four plastic rivets (they look like the expanding anchors used for putting screws in dry walls). I used a small pin punch and hammered the centers upward and into the rivets. That loosened the rivets and then the bracket could be pulled off with some, but not a lot, of effort. The bracket is reuseable, but I'd need to use something other than the original four plastic rivets.

Thanks, everyone.
