Removing front license plate bracket

Has anyone done this? I just did and it looks terrible. Guessing maybe it isn't supposed to be removed?

When I got my car I dealer traded from a shop in MD. Needless to say I got used to the Ford Racing plate I put on the front. Nice way to personalize it. For one customer I had our body shop match the LP holder to the body color of their Mustang and it gave it an extra clean look.

Front receiver hitch for kayak rack.

I agree looks better with it but I wanted it out of the way.

I would like to do a light bar there but was told it would interfere with the cruise sensor or something else like that.

Pulled mine off immediately. Looks the same as DL222's except my bumpers are color matched. The front plate holder has 2 plastic push-in type pins that go straight in from the front you can pop out with a small flat head screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers and then has 2 more plastic fasteners built in that go downward from the top to hold it on the truck. Lift up on the rear of it to pop those out then pull forward. I can post pics of my old one if needed. I broke one of the built in clips that go downward but not concerned, it will never go back on.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that sensor you are referring to is only if you have the adaptive cruise. My truck is different than that of DL222's in that it has a 3" x 4" box (sensor) over more to the drivers side between the tow hook and the front license plate. In this pic my plate holder was still on, now it's off, but you can see the sensor there.

Yes you can! I didn't catch that but it's def easier to see in your pic. Isn't that the adaptive cruise sensor?
