F-250 Diesel vs F-350 Diesel
>Have been told that the diesel in the F-350 gets about 2 mpg less >that diesel in F-250. Ever heard of this?
I never heard of this.
As far as I know the only differance is the rear springs. And maybe the frame is a little bigger (I have not looked to know for sure)
Also a price increase.

F-250 Diesel vs F-350 Diesel
The only difference between a 2002 F-250 & a F-350 are the rear blocks, the badge, the price, and what the manufacturer says what the vehicle gross weight is. Even though the trucks are identicle in every aspect, except for the above mentioned items, the manufacturer assigns a higher gross vehicle weight to the F-350... Go figure.

F-250 Diesel vs F-350 Diesel
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-Apr-02 AT 00:32 AM (EST)] I have a camper package option on my F-250 Overload and a mondo sway bar, and yes the dually is not an option for the F-250. The rear leaf springs are the identicle part number on the F-250 and the F350. As far as fuel economy goes it pretty much depends on your right foot. The trucks weight are the same and the hp rating are the same unless you have a stick which has a code for more hp and torque and uses less hp to drive the trans. The last of the PSD's have the high hp code even in the automatics. None of it matters when you use the SCMT it evens the playing field. I average around 14mpg. I just drive it. I don't care about the keep it under 2000rpm economy thing.

I would highly suggest that you take your truck to a competant, trustworthy mechanic.
And by-the-way, once you find one, let me know who he/she is...I'm looking too.
