I have around 2000 miles on my 4.2 V6 5 speed and I thought it was about time for a little testing. When I punch it the rpm raises up then down for a split second then back up.

Reminds me of when I needed to adjust my jets on N/A carbs.

Is this a normal occurance with computer controlled fuel injecton engines ?
