do u know what the problem was with his remote start i got one in my 2004 FX4 its doing the same thing it tries to turn on dash lights and everything go on but it wont start

 

I am pretty sure it is the factory anti-theft system transponder sensor that wraps around the inside of the ignition that may be broken. Try putting your factory key next to the ignition while trying to remote start and see if it will start. If so, the sensor needs to be reprogrammed. If not, you need a new sensor.

I learned that after three were installed and all three have had some problom or another.I searched into this and found that Ford has interest in the after market brand(Code alarms)and at certain times when I would take in one of the vehicles that particular system was then out dated no longer being offered?In the end I had three differant Code alarms,I currently have the original installed in the second vehicle we had done about 3 years ago.Do your self a favor and google Code alarms you will be suprised!(Audiovoxproducts.com)
