turbo/pedestal removed twice;still leaking oil
My 95 F250 PSD with 181,000 has an oil leak from what appeared to be where the turbo bolts to the pedestal and I also had a bad fuel leak from fuel standing in the block around the fuel pump. I have replaced the o-rings in the pedestal twice and replaced the fuel pump, metal fuel line with new rubber tube seals and metal washers, all the non-pressure rubber hoses and visually checked the fuel bowl for leaks. Well I solved my fuel leak but the oil leak still remains. When you stand at the passenger fender and look over at the pedestal area the leak seems to be coming from where the turbo meets the pedestal because it is running down from that area and on to the recess in the rear of the block. Do I have a warped pedestal or maybe cracked; inspected it real close on removal after clean up and it looked OK. Any and all comments are welcome because I hate oil leaks and I will stop at nothing to repair it. Help me out guys.

On removing mine the second time I did notice oil around the turbo housing but it was so close to the pedestal area where it is bolted down I didn't think that maybe there was crack in the cast housing. Was your crack in the turbine exhaust housing or the center housing section where the orings are placed. Is there a seal or oring between the two housings or are they just bolted together. My leak doesn't occur with engine warm and at idle but after a RPM run done the road and back the leak is evident.

Hey stroker393, I know its been awhile but I was wondering if you fixed your pedestal leak yet. My tk is doing exactly same thing. I have replaced o-rings twice. One time the leak stopped for 500 miles but was then back again. I think my pedestal may be warped as I even tried high temp rtv on it with no luck. Just wondering what you found. Thanks

I never fixed the leak which is still there; haven't really had the time. I just placed a shop rag down in the valley at the rear exit block hole under the turbo to keep oil from blowing all over the under carriage and change it out regularly. My conclusion with the problem is the turbo is cracked and needs replacing but until then I keep a check on the oil level and change rags. Keep us informed if and when you cure your stroke.
