360 towing power

I was thinking about buying a 360FE (pretty much stock) powered f-250 to pull my pickup to mudboggs. It will be towing 20ft steel gooseneck trailer with a 5,500lb mudbogger on it. Will this be too much weight for the 360?

The 360 should handle it OK. Auto/manual? What do you have for gears?

That is kinda what i though...sounds like i'll stick with the 89 banks turbocharged diesel 1 ton 4X4(my dads though). It'll pull this setup easy goin 85. (my dad doesnt know that though) haha

with those gears and trannys, it should pull just fine with that load on it. It's just that hills will suck

First mod should be headers and a 2 1/2 dual exhaust. My 360 came alive after those mods. Even left the 2bbl carb on.

V10Man.

What Kind of headers are your using and where did you get them? We have a 74 with a 360 and I can't keep exhaust manifolds or the gaskets in proper order so they don't leak.
