exhaust? and Suspension?

I had two questions for you guys. I have a 99 f-150 reg cab 4.2. On their is a flowmaster 40 series with stock tail pipes. I was looking for a louder sound and some more power so i was going to get another flowmaster and run tru duals. Will this make it louder, and will i be releasing too much backpressure for the 4.2 cus i already have 2.5 inch pipes and i heard u need some backpressure. How much diffrence will the duals make in power and gas milege?
And my suspension question for you is---- I have shackles on my truck right now and it still doesnt sit level the back sits about an inch higher. My truck also has a pretty hard suspension that doesnt give much. I want my truck to ride softer and sit level about 2 inches lower without having to worry bottoming out or going slow into driveways and such. Can this be done? I was thinking about doing 2'' drop coils in the front and hangers in the back. I was also thinking about taking out a leaf spring out in the back to make it sit level. Any suggestions or comments

Yes, getting true duals will give you more power than stock. Go for it. You said you have the intake, so that should make up for any backpressure issues.

If I were you I'd order a 2/4 drop from belltech, and install it. It's not low enough that it will bring up clearance issues, and it levels out your truck and makes it look really good.

I'm not to sure duals would be a good idea. I opened mine up to much before and lost a lot of low end torque. I did however gain a pretty good amount of hi end power though. So I guess its what you are looking for. I have a SC now and am still a little skeptical about going dual. The MAC guy agreed with me and suggested a single. But I am going to dump it to. So thats a little less back pressure to. I still may go dual but I'm moving a lot more air.
My suggestion is learn to weld! Then its cheap to try a few different combos. to see what works best. (besides once you learn to weld you can do any thing and for ALOT cheaper.

Oh, and from the factory I belive its 2 1/2" higher in the back. Thats what mine was. (supercab) Yours may be a little different with the short wheel base.

I have a 2/4 ground force drop on my 03 and it is level. I bought mine as a kit but I've heard of people buying just the pieces they need. I was very happy with the quality of parts and cusomer service with ground force. The truck handles much better than stock and I have'nt had any bottoming out issues.

If you want to just level it, you can get a front leveling kit for real cheap. It consists of 2" rubber spring fitting that mounts on top of your front springs. They work really well and make your truck look nice.

Unless your really thinking of dropping the whole truck, I think this is the best way to go.

On the true duals: Yes, true duals make you loose low end torque. This is where the intake helps you back out of that 'slump.' Also, a chip would definately fix your torque problem.

The ground force kit I have came with gas shocks front and rear, springs, hangers, and shackles. The kit was really complete except I would of liked some shock boots just to dress things up a bit. Maybe I'm just picky. I will try to get some pics up of my truck this weekend so you can see the after.
