5.8L Intake Manifold Gasket Replacement
I am changing the intake manifold gasket due to a small
coolant leak. The book says the lock tabs must be installed.
I assume from the book the lock tabs are on the head gaskets,
however there are none left on my engine, seem to be coroded
away. How critical is this, it appears they are to position the gasket correctly, I really don't want to do head gaskets also
just for this reason if I can get away with it.
Any one encountered this?
Can I use a few dabs of silicone to hold the gaskets in place,
or another adheasive?
Need help on this one
