FINALLY--Pics in my gallery!!!

The gallery is really particular. My pics were too large, so I had to resize them ALL. I didn't get 'Old Blue' sized, so it isn't there. Old Blue is the 56 F100 my dad bought for me when I was 15 (I'm a 56 model--you do the math). It's been my daily driver for 32 years. I have another 56 F100 that also didn't get in the gallery. I plan on retiring from the Fed. Gov. when I'm 55, and these trucks will be my hobby. I only need one more model to have all of them up to the 600. That's the C500. Really hard to find, can't even find a pic. Hope you enjoy the gallery.

Thanks,

only56fords

The 70 Sport Custom is a street rod I'm building for my 16 year old (daughter).

COOOOL!
Your F550 looks just like mine, right down to the white/rust paint!
Just one thing though;your rims look different than mine-I have 22.5",what size are those?
Love seeing the heavy trucks-big trucks mean big fun!!!

gt,

Thanks for the feedback!! I have really gotten into the 'heavy trucks' lately. They are BIG fun, but hard to find certain parts for. Things on pickups that you throw away and order repro, doesn't work with the big boys. All of the sudden that old part looks really rebuildable! These trucks really test my skills. To answer your question about wheels, the 53 F350 and the 56 F350 both have 17" solid wheels. I bought the blue 56 from the original owner who had saved all 7 factory rims. He said he had to quit using them in the mid 70's because he could no longer find 7.50X17 tires. He replaced them with widow maker 16's.
Glad you enjoyed my pics. If you want the whole ball of wax, visit my page, at msnusers.com/1956fordtrucks. Let me know how you like it.

Thanks,

Randy

Quite the fleet you have! I don't even want to think about the size of the pole barn your going to keep these things in once done. A project of that size would take me 20 years at least! Keep us updated on everything, -4speed

"My truck will be finished by the time the cubs win the world series or at least get into the world series....."

Ouch, I heard that 4Speed

Only56

Nice collection of the big trucks. My mother graduated from Booneville High a couple years ago. Small world.

Funny you should mention pole barn 4speed. A storm hit the family farm here in western Ark. a couple weeks ago. It pushed an old 60' X 60' hay barn to a 22 degree eastern lean. I asked my dad if we were going to try to save it (again). He said NO, and asked if I wanted to tear it down for the materials? Instant, free truck parking!!! I already have 150, 12' pieces of sheet iron on the ground in a stack, I'll have a truck shed built before dad knows where the barn went!!
I bought an F500, and a (well part of a) F250 in Kansas last week which leaves only one model that I can't find--the elusive C500. I have an ad posted here at FTE, and got an email lead today. The guy says he knows where 2 are near Pine Bluff, AR.

Hey fenders, howd' you wind up in Iowa?

Thanks for the feedback guys!!

Randy

My family was deported from Arkansas. It's something we're not too proud of.

Only56fords;

And I thought that I had too many projects. Looks like several years of gleaning parts. Lots of luck.

Thanks, for the feedback (and sympathy). I've been restoring antique JD tractors for 15 years (8 professionally), so I am acustom to having multiple projects going at the same time. It's really less expensive than doing one at a time. Why hook up the sandblaster (miserable job) for each truck when you can do 2 at a time... same with sheet metal work, and painting. Besides, according to my wife, I'm stupid anyway!

fenders--I'm not even going to ask what it took to get deported from Arkansas..... this is where people are deported to, not from....

Later,

Randy
