I would guess that the acutal specs are at or around 200 since the mustangs were 215. The Tbirds didnt get headers or the same computers, so they arent as potent as a mustang. Hope this helps.

They are damn close though--I have one in my 1990 Volvo wagon and it runs low 15 second 1/4 mile bone stock with an open diff. The stock exhaust is a log style tube manifolds which can't be as good as a header--they have lots of crimps in them.

you can't run a mustang h pipe on 1989-1996 t birds there is no room I have owned a few. Also there is only two company's that make headers that fit the t-bird's they are JBA which crack after about 1yr. and Kooks wich will last for ever, the headers are avaiable for about 500-600 bux. and you have a custom h-pipe made. mustang headers won't work because they won't ever clear the steering shaft and mustang h-pipes won't work because the chasis is completely diffrent. the t-birds/cougars went from the fox (mustang) platform to the MN12 chasis in 89. Go to tccoa.com (thunderbird and cougar club of america) they will be able to answer any questions you have about thunderbirds. I live over on that site under the same user name as I have on this one. Stock the exhaust goes from the manafolds to 2" pipes to (2) Cats and into a 3rd cat (collector pipe)into a resonator then through one 2.25" pipe back through the car which splits into (2) 2" pipes to two mufflers
