Any body out there built their own hydralic press, any plans?

 

You can do it but it might be cheaper to get one at Harbor Freight.

 

I built my own just because I had a bunch of scrap metal laying around, if you don't have the metal already it would be cheaper to buy one than to make your own

 

I made one from heavy 2x6's and 2x8's that I had laying around just for fun. I also had a bunch of large bolts laying around so most of the materials were free. If I didn't have free stuff just laying around it would be much cheaper to just buy one at Harbor Freight.

 

I built a small one for wrist pins and u-joints
had steel laying around, bought a bigone later from harbor freight.
