M5R2 speedometer drive

I know this has been talked about but here goes again. I bought a 92 M5R2 trans that has no speedometer gear. I bought a tail housing from a 88 M5R2 that has the speedo hole. I also bought a 7 tooth drive gear. I think I am all set there. Now what i am trying to do is get the correct driven gear. I believe I need a 20 tooth according to the charts. Problem is there are a couple types of driven gears available. One place says you only need to know if the gear (cable) comes in from the right or left. BUT I notice some Ford speedo gears come in below the output shaft and some come in above it... Also I may need a Vehicle Speed Sensor to connect to, (not to wire into but to just use as a way to connect the cable to). I am trying to put this all into a 56 F 100 w/ a carburated 300 6. Number Dummy would you be able to help here? Any and all thoughts/Ideas are appreciated. Thanks, Greg
