Aftermarket Headlight Housings Not Working

Does anyone else have issues with aftermarket headlight housings not installing correctly or being able to point correctly? Im trying to get a set for my 2012 XLT

I have tried 3 different sets from three different brands. Each with their own issue as well as similar issue.

First off my factory housings shine and aim perfect and bright. When I shine them on a wall I get a nice big bright uniformed coverage where both headlights coverage blends together.

For the similar issue, when I have put any of the aftermarkets on I get a concentrated point for each headlight then somewhat of a flood below it (this is when backed up 25ft from a wall the concentrated area is about the side of a rectangle about a foot wide.) Both areas look to be straight on but then when driving down the road it seems like they are shining off to the burm.

Now each set has had their own individual sets of issues, first ones were just a smoke lens, it didn't mount up quite right and the smoke was too dark. The second set was clear lens and black outlined housing. These ones didn't mount up and line up at all. The third set was clear lens with black outlined housing and a LED strip built in, these ones mounted up perfect but point off to the side with that concentrated area.

Anyone run into anything similar. Its almost like the aftermarket guys cant get the reflection areas quite right to duplicate what the factory ones do.

I guess I'm just getting old.
But to me, nothing works as well as the original equipment.

I've been starting to feel the same way. Nothing aftermarket seems to work 100% on my last couple trucks.

On the 2013 that I have right now, I changed the exhaust, and stereo. Other than that, it's staying bone stock.

I have put many of the aftermarket ghetto lights in a variety of different makes and models, every time after the install there is issues. They either don't work or fit right and have to be re-wired or they come back not working a month later.

I'm staying stock, other than my tunes inside and out.

Maybe salvage a set from a 2013 FX4...mine has smoked lenses and HID bulbs. They're a great set of lights.
