Just test drove a 2012. I it's at 100k. It to has a dpf Delete and what looks like a 5" pipe.
It's been tuned to keep cel off. The tuner is missing and it feels like it's set to kill.
the dealer has no info on tuner or OEM DPF or tailpipe.
he says he will Sweeten the deal two have me go find factory exhaust and a tuner.
How do I get to factory tune back in, is it possible? I looked on eBay and I've Googled and I can't find the factory DPF pipe. These are all modifications that I want to do to the truck but if I ever got any crap from Dot and Massachusetts inspection I want to be able to put it back together.
The question is is it possible to put it back to stock without the original tuner? What's the price? has anybody seen a replacement DPF and tailpipe for sale?
thanks

Just my opinion but, not knowing the history on a truck like that I would pass. Sounds like more of a money pit than a deal to me. Esp. If your in an emissions inspection area.

Those were my thoughts. I walked from the deal. He's calling me dropping price and now willing to give me what I want for my trade.
thanks

Isn't it illegal for a dealer to sell a vehicle without functioning emissions equipment?

If you want the truck tell them you'll pick it up as soon as it is legal to drive on the roads....

Pretty much what I said. I said the sign a piece of paper saying that he was responsible for the removing of the emissions. That's when his story changed.

Smart Man. There is no bigger fan of deletes than me but you will be tested in MA and I would never buy a deleted truck without knowing the history. The dealer is an idiot as whomever buys that truck can come back on them for knowingly selling it. Best thing they can do is sell it at auction and cut their losses.
