No Gauges working except Speedo. 1997 F250 4X4 (SOLVED)
First off, I already know that fuse 17 is good and I have power past the fuse. But I have no power at the Instrument cluster on C251 wire 13 Red/Yel.
I suspect my problem is at S215 which is a splice but I cant find it. Splice location says At T/O near C251. Anyone know where this splice is? Or has anyone had this same problem?
Thanks in advance!
John

Grounds are good. That was the first thing I checked. There is no voltage getting to the cluster on wire 13 connector C251 . There are other things missing 12v but they all share the same power source.

Problem Solved
So i hope this helps someone else because this one really had me stumped. So i had no power to the gauge cluster and all Diesel related lights. Here are the two things i found that fixed it.
1. Loose connection at the firewall, apparently someone had taken it off and didn't get it back on correctly. So now i had power, well at least I thought I did.
I plugged in the side of the cluster that has the temp and fuel gauges and they all worked. Plugged in the opposite side and all my gauges went out again.
2. So the second fix.... Obviously it had something to do with the opposite side of the gauge cluster. So I started measuring the resistance on those resistors that are attached to the back side of the cluster and found the one that should be 390 Ohm was reading 2.5 K Ohm...So i picked up a pack of new resistors, and of course i got the wrong wattage but it worked. You need a 1/2 watt 390 Ohm. I ended up getting 1/4 watt 390 Ohm but it seems to be holding.
Problem solved.
