Isurance Rates
I keep hearing that the '17 Super Duty trucks cost more to repair after collision due to the aluminum body. I really don't know if this is fact or not, but I bet the insurance companies know. Has anyone noticed an increase in collision rates insuring the new Super Duty?

Insurance company also said the reason was most likely the safety features on the 2017s. First time in about 50 years that my insurance went down after a new car purchase. Al

I think major accidents cost more in materials, though the design is intended to cut down on labor cost vs the old cab. On minor bumps often the aluminum is cheaper to fix. I hit one on the lot and the 3rd party dent guy told me I was luck it was a new truck because the older one would have creased and true body work would have to have been done.
