Exhaust options

I have a 2011 F150 ecoboost, looking into an exhaust system, looking at a flowmaster or glasspack muffler, but essentially leaving stock pipe and location. I want alot of sound and a deep tone, maybe a flowmaster 10 series or cherry bomb extreme. Anybody running either or have a recommendation.

Truthfully, I don't think you'll get a nice deep tone out of any V6. I've tried before with my 01 F150 years ago. I even swapped out different mufflers for months on end.

From what I've seen and heard no one has been able to get a deep exhaust tone throughout the rpm range on the 3.5's.

Sound is always a personal preference thing but the sound I have liked best is the aftermarket down pipes. Then leave the factory muffler AND resonator on. Seems to increase noise from the turbos but still keep the tone to an acceptable level.

Thanks for the input, I have seen and heard people putting a flowmaster 10 in place of stock muffler and got nice sound out of it, might try that and see.

If you do that. Please put a clip up so we can hear and see what you've come up with.

I will be sure to put a clip up, I heard a couple here in my town one has a 12 inch cherry bomb glasspack and the other a flowmaster not sure what series. I liked the way the fliwmaster sounded and I could really hear the turbos spool as he took off.

About the biggest downside to ecoboost especially for the older crowd is the lack of pleasant exhaust note. This didn't go unnoticed by Ford hence the fake sound in newer trucks. Personally I like how the 5.0 is subtle in normal driving but gets just a bit more menacing on heavy throttle.

That would be a series 70, or higher.
With Flowmaster, the lower the number, the more noise. So my truck (2013 F150 Sup Crew, 5.0, 4x4), I have a Series 70, and a decent sound inside the cab. So it's at least a series 70. Or higher number, equals less sound. Lower the number, like a series 10................... C'Mone noise!!!!!!

To me the best sound is quiet with tons of power under the hood. I haven't heard a good sounding ecoboost exhaust that's been modified yet. They've all sounded horrible to me.
