2017 eco late arrival?

I've had a 2017 lariat with the new Eco & 10 speed ordered for a couple months now. My dealer had told me to expect it in November but today they called and said that ford was now tellling them to not expect any 17's with a 10 speed till after first of the year. Anyone else hearing this?

A very very large majority that I can search for are still in the plant, however, there are a few that show in transit. This is based on a search of 300 dealers nearest to me in south central Pa. None are currently on ground from this search.

Most of the 2017 MY F150's that I have come across...have been with the 5.0L engine.

Hopefully FORD isn't having an issue with the all new 3.5L Eco...or the all new 10 spd trans.

It's a new engine and transmission design, so it stands to reason that it would be delayed a bit. I think we all want them to get it right the first time!

Absolutely! That is the hope...

But...I was thinking that maybe they are holding them back so they can sell the 2016's that are on dealers lots. I read several reports that sales are down (even for the mighty F150)...and FORD is coming out with incentives to move the product.

I ordered a 2017 Lariat a couple of weeks ago. Dealer said don't expect to hear anything till the middle of January. The dealer didn't try to push a '16 although they had a lot full of them. Asked about the long wait and was told that the factory gives priority to the lower trim models that are shipped for dealer stock. I guess they figure if you don't want one off the lot and want to order, then you'll wait.

The guys that were ordering the 2017 superduty trucks were and still are to varying degrees climbing the walls waiting for Ford to ship them.

I'd wager that it's more about moving dealer inventory than anything.

Even in Canada there are great incentives. Got an excellent trade in for my F350 diesel of 2011 plus significant price reduction off new 2016. Otherwise I would still be in my old truck! Still lots of new 2016 not sold. A few 2017 but seem most XL's.
