Wire (okay, vacuum line) burned in two, just noticed....

I just noticed a wire burned in half on the front side of the intercooler plenum. See picture below,

Here is the left side showing the green wire stub going into the wiring harness on the front side of the intercooler plenum,

and this is the right side showing the wire going into the air intake duct between the turbo and the air filter,


I don't think it's been in this condition very long. Thoughts on this?

Its not a wire its a vaccum line fix it or you will have dust go in thru that crack into the turbo.

Ahhh, you are correct. I'm embarassed and relieved. The lines are really stiff (both the broken green and neighboring red), and the ends of the broken green are melted shut, so I don't think much if any dust has leaked in. Replacements have been ordered.

Just get a Vacuum Tube with the same ID as the OD of the Green Tube and slide it over each end. Maybe four inches (two on either side of the break). If you do decide to replace it, use a rigid line, not rubber.
