Reliable injectors builders, and what's best for fuel economy

Hey guys, I know with idis there are about 3 good injectors rebuilders out there, who's the go to rebuilders for injectors for psds? I'm not looking to make more power really just better fuel economy. I have down pipe and full exhaust, kn intake, Edge Cts 2 set on tow, and a bar non efuel kit. My truck weighs 9100lbs empty and it's a 4wd dually single cab with an e4od. I've replaced all sensors too.

Lots of guys go to Rosewood around here (where I went, very happy with mine). Swamps also makes injectors.

Yes, Rosewood Diesel is hard to beat. Very happy with the results with his 160/30s.

You'll never make your money back in fuel economy, especially if you're already in the 15 mpg range. If you know your injectors are bad or just want bigger injectors, then fine, go for it.

And take that K&N off before you dust your turbo if you haven't already. Rosewood for the win.

I think someone said that the best fuel economy mod was the skinny pedal mod....

Yup. You won't gain or lose much of anything with injectors.

I've been using Rosewood for 8 years and won't go to anyone else except for when I want bigger than 350cc injectors and the only reason I don't use him for those is because he doesn't make anything bigger than that.

Are the K&Ns really that bad? I didnt put it on it, it came with it but i always ran them on other turbo trucks with no issues.

Thats a good point about not really gaining any value back on mileage. The truck idles and drives fine, i guess ill wait to replace any until it starts missing or the orings start leaking.

I drive it fairly conservatively with cruise set 80% of my day at 60mph.

I had someone come and get a ZF5 i had for sale yesterday who also reccomended rosewood. His truck has 1,400,000 miles, and his first 7.3l lasted 940,000 he said. He's had his rosewood injectors in for around 180k or so i believe he said.

I've put many of miles on Rosewood injectors. The set in my SD right now got run about 150k before I put them in this truck. I've put almost 50k on them in this truck. I also have a set of Rosewood hybrids I loaned a friend of mine that have over maybe 120-140k miles on them. The set in my OBS have around 35k miles on them.

The NAPA 6637 and its Baldwin / Donaldson equivalents let in more air and less dirt than the K&N. Most likely you'll be able to put one of those on the plumbing you have now for the K&N (unless you just have a K&N "drop-in" stock replacement), so you won't need a "kit".

The fuel economy question is still a valid one. Yeah, you'd never make back the reman/replacement cost, but if you're at the point where you need injectors anyway, and would rather get a set made for economy rather than performance, it would be interesting to know which way to go. I suppose just asking Jim Rose that very question would be a place to start.

And +1 above; the "right boot" mod is the most important factor in fuel economy.
