I would just upgrade to 2005 style lights, the cutting really isn't so bad. And they're a whole lot better in the lighting department, at least in my experience.

I don't want 'em too bright.... I think it's rude. I'll be fine with the old&new together.

Are you sure you're not confusing the newer style OEM lights with aftermarket lights people "upgrade" to, but scatter light, like some knock-off OEM look-a-likes, or HID lights in a non-HID housing do?

I dunno, bright headlights have always been an issue for me. I had to learn to focus on the shoulder line for oncoming cars back on the 2 lanes of my ute!

Being relatively new to Excursions, other than style, is there any gain going from my 04 lights to the 05 versions? I looked up the bulb numbers for both and see that the 05 is 9008 (H13), vice the 9007 for my 04. I also looked up the wattage for both and the 9007 actually has a higher wattage high beam (65w vs 60w) and the same wattage low beam (55w).

I had the same problem a couple of years back...turned out I needed some glasses! Go get them eyes checked out...lol
