Scuff plate screws and retainers

I have an '04 E350 V10 that is missing several (aka all) of the anchors and screws that hold the side door scuff plate to the van. Does anyone know where I could find replacements of these? Google has not been my friend on this, at least when it comes to knowing what size to buy. I just find general trip clips, but nothing that says a match to my van, or scuff plates, or even Ford van scuff plates in general.

You looking for something like this?

Fastenal is a good source for such type pins, look under "Automotive Fasteners"

That retainer is marked - "Black Nylon GM Ford & Chrysler Panel Retainer"
Fastenal Part No. (SKU): 0162628 Wholesale: $12.49 / package /100

-or-

5/16" Gray Trim Panel Retainer 13/16" Stem Length
Fastenal Part No. (SKU): 11120592 Wholesale: $8.355 / package /50

Mine are actually the ones that look almost like drywall anchors and then have a screw in them. I think I may have found some on eBay, though it's sort of impossible to know if they're the right size, and the seller isn't all that helpful.

I guess for future posts I shouldn't use the "insert link" thing. I have no idea why that picture is so massive.

I got so tired of those things on my 97 (regular length cargo with sliding door).

I drilled out the holes and inserted 1/4-20 riv-nuts in each hole on the van side (using my Harbor Freight riv-nut tool.

Then bought a bunch of plastic 1/4-20 screws to hold the plate in since they're exposed to the elements on the back side.

So nice when I pull the panel out to clean. I hat fighting those #$&(*^ clips.

Oh wow. That's a great idea! I'd been fighting to try to keep the few I had left in there, and now I have none. Until your post, I sheepishly admit I didn't know what a riv nut tool was. But I do now, and that might be the way to go!
