97 F150 XLT Daily Driver / Show truck

Time flies, somehow my daily driver is slowly becoming a 'show truck' Registered my Mustang for the All Ford Show in Carlisle this year but decided to take the truck at the last minute. Being almost 20 yrs old, it fit right in!

Thanks. Funny thing, since it's just a driver I never took many pictures of it and don't have any of the interior! I'll have to take some this fall.

The most recent picture is just a week or so ago when it turned over to 90K miles.

The other picture is when the running boards were still on. Took them off since the steel square tube support underneath them rotted away. Will replace with stainless some day. Also have a matching topper for it, but hasn't been on for years.

I've had it 16 years and it's been very good to me but know the time is coming to do some work on it.

Yea, me too. I always think this body style is kind of the modern version of the 1953-1956 trucks. Unique.

I'm torn between keeping it and fixing it up or getting rid of it and moving up to something newer.

Here are some pictures I recently took to list it on CL.

After 21 yrs I sold it and picked up a new 21 XLT. It was a great truck.

The '21 is a great truck too but the '97 sure was cheaper to own.

If I knew the '97 would have kept going I would have gladly kept it. It was a good running and good riding truck.
