While all the stock boys are getting delivery dates, I thought it would be nice for the retail orders to keep each other posted.

I just got a VIN on 8-13, and have a build week of September 5th. No information on a delivery date, and my salesman isn't willing to take any bets. He's a pretty straight shooter, and refuses to get my hopes up on a delivery window. Like he says- when it hits our lot, I'll call that it was delivered

Ford chat people can also see VIN and know the order is in processing. Outside of that, I'm sitting and waiting and hoping for delivery before November 4 hunting trip to Colorado.

Whats your retail order story?

 

Placed order on April 18. Originally was dealer stock but never scheduled even 2 months after scheduling began. The dealer at that point changed to retail based on conversation with ford rep. it is scheduled for week of August 29

 

Signature truck, ordered this week...entered the order bank 8/12. No VIN, or estimated window yet. I spoke to the Ford chat people yesterday, they can see it in the system. Cotus shows a different truck (dealer used the same order number...meh)...they said 8-12 weeks.

Order priority 10.

I ordered 05-11 retail and still in order processing. Ultimate Lariat crew 6.2 4x4. I hope something happens soon!

 

Ordered April 18: 2017 Lariat F-350 SuperCrew Long Bed 406 PSD. Still waiting for build date and VIN (Priority 19). I'm pretty sure my salesman and his rep have no clue whats going on.

 

What is the Ford Chat I keep seeing people referring to? I tried to track down a live chat (versus calling) Ford but the only one I can find is for Sync Support.

My dealer has been checking off and on for my VIN (Retail, F250, Diesel, Platinum, Crew placed on 7/11) and nothing has showed up yet so I wanted to reach out to Ford directly.

 

I ordered a F450 Lariat on May 25th and still no VIN. In processing is all I know at this point.
Will hear from my dealer on Monday about any update.

On the build and price website sometimes a chat rep will pop up when you are building your truck. Sometimes there is a link to chat on the summary page. They seem to keep different hours, sometimes there, sometimes not. I do not ever recall chat up on a weekend.

 

Generally the new build orders are issued on Thursdays. There may be exceptions to this but your dealer should know that Thursday is when the blue oval shxxs.

 

Placed my order today. F250 Lariat Ultimate 176" 4x4 6.2L

 

Congratulations! It's exciting but now the pain of the wait begins.

 

Yesterday I ordered a Platinum white Platinum. That way I'd know what I ordered whether it was in forward or reverse.

Dealer says 12 weeks, hopefully he is a pessimist and it will arrive sooner.

 

I ordered a pretty loaded F250 6.2 Lariat on Wednesday 8/10. Dealer hopes for an 8-10 week timeframe, but I'm in no rush.

 

6/27/17 ordered a Platinum Ruby Red F350 srw 6.7 4x4 C.C 176. priority 10 still no Vin. I'm patient. Hearing sortage of 20" rims and camera system.
