New 2016 F350 - Blowby at 3,000 miles?
I recently bought my first new vehicle: 2016 F350 DRW.
At 3K miles (today) I pulled the stick to check the oil and I noticed a lot of vapor coming out of the tube. So I removed the cap and saw the same, LOTS of vapor for what I'd expect in a new truck.
The fill neck is slanted (I'm sure Ford did it on purpose : ) so you cannot do the "blow the cap off" trick but I don't get the impression it would blow it off.
Here's a video I took (cant get it to embed)
Knowing that rings need to be seated and such I've not babied it these first 3K miles (though it has had its share of idling at times).
What think you on whether I should see this in a new 6.7?

it has a turbo.. normal. when little or No boost being used.
research turbo design and piston rings. Gas or Diesel
the SHORT story.. rings will seal under turbo Boost... and relax without boost. blow-by
plus high heat from boost,
different animal when going ABOVE normal atmosphere pressure
