Acquired a project '92 F350 7.3>BBF swap? SD D60?

So i'm getting a dirt cheap 92 F350 that was factory 7.3 diesel and 5 speed.

Trans, T-Case, and front axle are MIA. 7.3 is torn apart.

I've been wanting a Single-Cab Longbed BBF for a while so I snatched it up.

How big of a nightmare am I looking at to get a running EFI 460 with accessories in this thing?

How about swapping in an 05+ Dana 60 up front? I know this one has been covered a million times, and have started reading up, just including in my thread in case others have ideas.

End goal is a nice streetable tow-worthy rig. 35" tires max and tow around 7-8k a few times a month. I'd go play in the mud a little but nothing crazy.

Thanks in advance!

I'm probably better off just assembling it with the 7.3, selling, and getting the gas truck I want...

05 up dana 60 is pretty simple, you just want to do your research on the track bar mount. ALSO, you will wan the matching 05 rear axle for tracking width and lug pattern.

As for putting a EFI 460 in, not a big deal. You just need the COMPLETE harness from a EFI 460 truck, fuel tanks, fuel lines, sending units, engine perches, instrument cluster, eco, etc

Thanks for the input! I do have the sterling out of my 08 so it would be a good fit for a front 05+ 60. I think my best bet is to just put it all back as factory as possible for now and buy the gas truck I want later on. Not real interested in a 7.3 IDI long term, but dont really want that much of a project to start swapping it either...

decisions decisions. I hope to have it all "parked" in the garage this coming week and get an idea of wtf I got myself into lol
