locking hub to auto hub question

i have a 1990 ttb under my truck the locking hubs are 6 bolt and i picked up a 94 parts truck with 5 bolt auto hubs i know this is not an ideal swap but i blew my right side hub and im currently unemployed so...
can i just swap the hubs over or is there more to it?
i know about a kit for 5 bolt to 3 bolt and i know the 3 bolt isnt as good as the 5(so i've heard)

I think at least some of the auto hubs require a different set of spindle nuts, but as long as you move the spindle nuts over from your parts truck you should be OK there,
