Fixing a Shark Rocket

Hi,

Does anybody have any experience with the Shark Rocket? My daughter has one, and she managed to get a screw trapped in the motor when she was trying to do some serious cleanout.

Anyway, I got one of the covers off, but that's about it. I can't find any hidden screws or the like. The only possibility that I see is a metal piece in the handle that could be some kind of a fastener. I tried prying it out a little, but it's not coming easily, so I quit.

I could not find any online service manuals --even at Sears parts. Possibly there is no good way to take it apart, but I'm hoping that there is.

Thanks,

hj

It's an HV 301. Thanks for the youtube tip

hj

Just cjecked out youtube -- all reviews and demos -- no serious disassembly. That's what I get on google as well.
Unfortunately, when my daughter lost the screw it managed to wedge itself iin the motor area, and the motor can't turn.

I really appreciate the effort, but that's an owner's manual for a similar model.
There are some of those out there, but they only show how to change the 5 or 6 filters (not kidding !) that come with the darn thing.

If you're not finding it -- it's not findable

Thanks aain,

hj

That is all I found...

I would try contacting the company and see if they have it..

They are only $150... You could save yourself a lot of aggravation buy buying a new one...

If it was mine, I miht do that --after prying on the part that would probably completely destroy it.

But it's my daughters, I'm just trying to help out a bit.
