I have a 1997 Ford F-350 2WD.. My transmission is automatic and it has been acting up like its stayed in 1 gear and I had drop the pan and these is no flakes and it didn't smell burned and I did the oil and the filter and it's still doing the same problem.... Someone had told me about a sensor it's located in the top of the axels but it's acting up still... Any help please thanks

 

Did you replace the ABS/VSS sensor on the top of the rear axle?

If you want to find out what's wrong, get the codes read. The places that read codes free CANNOT read these codes. You need either a good independent shop or a Ford dealer.

Without the codes you may have to spend thousands in parts before you get lucky and change the one that is causing the problem.

 

Yea I had replace the sensor all ready but it's still acting up

 

OEM or parts store special?
