diagnostic codes, what do these mean?

diagnostic codes, what do these mean?
my truck started to kick in and out of gears so when i got home i pluged my scmt into it and read the diagnostic codes what do they mean, P0500 which says "Vehicle speed sensor (VSS) Error" and P0344 which says "Camshaft Pos Sensor Circuit Intermittent" please help i need that translated into English
