Off road in sand, snow, mud ect the reduced sidewall flex hinders the tires ability to "float" on the surface and is generally a undeseriable trait.

For load bearing the reduced air volume means that they have a slightly lower load index but in this case the 121 is well above your GVWR so you are clear there.

What shock are your going to run with this tire ? Just me but a soft or OE type shock kills the added handeling feel of the tire, I'd go with a firmer shock to accentuate the sporty feel of the tire.
What's the stock tire size on the 20's, 275/65R20, right? They should stil have a bit of sidewall flex, especially if aired down. I'm not doing any hardcore mudding. Winter snow, Gravel and dirt utility roads, and the sand at the beach (Outer Banks, NC) is what I run mostly.

As far as suspension, I have a track car (Mazda RX-7) with modded suspension and I have a motorcycle (Suzuki DL650 "Vstrom") I don't care for cushy rides.

Currently the Ex has KYB Monomax shocks on it and they're in good shape. I'll upgrade later when I need to replace them. I wish Rancho made the adjustable "My Ride" system so that I can change the characteristics based on load. With the quality I've heard of the adjusters on the 9000s, I might just go with Bilsteins all around and a set of air bags in the rear to adjust based on load.

The rear is slated to get a spring upgrade.

Care to share your impression of the monomax ?
I have been wanting to test drive a set of them to check out, just wish they offered a larger selection of sizes.
I've always liked KYB quality and they seem like a good value

I had a my ride on a suburban back when. It was great and I wish they still offered it as well. Keep an eye on eBay, I bet you could find one.

If you really want a quality adjustable shock check out walker evens racing.
Probably the best shock package I've ever had on a super duty.

Can you tell me what backs pacing those wheels have? That combo looks great on there.

I saw a few sets on my area Craigslist this morning while looking for some '04 18"s for someone here. You don't show your location.

I always use CL and expand my search area by adding "nearby areas" and use "F250", "F350", "superduty", "super duty" and "Harley" as my key words and I look at both "all wheels and tires" as well as "all general auto parts" in the "auto parts" section.
Good luck!

I am not sure what they are going for elsewhere, but I paid $400 for my 20's with about half tread on them. Bought them a year or so ago and they didn't have a scratch on them. I paid him what he was asking so he threw in a set of lugnuts, the center caps, and even a set of mud flaps that I gave to a buddy.

hope that helps.
