ok, so it sounds like i am going to have to drop down to 17 inch wheels on my 2006 f350 to get studded tires. i am going to switch permanently to 17 inch at this point. a couple of questions:
1. what is the likelihood that i can get ford to exchange wheels with me, since the 18 inch wheels are a safety issue without ability to get studded tires? who should i contact about this?
2. if ford won't switch them no charge for me, then where can i purchase a set of 17 inch chromed steel wheels to fit my truck?
3. is it true that 2006 f250 17 inch wheels will fit f350, or is there a special 17 inch wheel for the f350?
thanks to all for your help!!
The F-350 18" wheels come with greater capacity tires. It will be hard to find 17" tires that have the ratings of the 18's you are getting rid of. If you do not load the tires beyond 250 levels you can easily downsize. Ebay has a lot of factory take off stuff. I just bought a set of the 05 and newer 17" aluminum rims and I am running the goodyear silent armors 285/70R17.
